Folk Embroidery is made up of cross stitch, which is one of the oldest stitches. Many of the patterns are symmetrical and are made up of a mix of geometric and floral designs. In my design work I wanted to create designs that incorporated stitch, this could be interesting on a patterned background or one of the marble backgrounds I have created.
