Interior Research - Collections

I was interested in how a collection is put together, because I want my own collections when leaving university. In the market in a collection their are six to eight designs in one collection then these will have different colour-ways this can be any number. Collections normally entail having one or two main designs, which could be used for a feature wall, than normally they other designs are subtle and might compliment the main design these could be circles or stripes like the co-ordinates to compliment the design. These elements I will need to remember when designing and putting my own collection together.


These images below are from Harlequin, another contemporary sophisticated retailer. They show how a collection can be varied although still have a theme, that holds them together, the range below is from Amilie.
